Dani was on another book roll this week. She had already finished five books; and it was only Tuesday. She really loved to read and didn't understand why people would just watch television instead of reading. She believed that if you couldn't imagine the scene in your head while reading, than you obviously had no imagination. She got up from her bed as soon as her alarm went off and quickly hopped in the shower to clean herself and get ready for the long day ahead of her. The blond's showers usually weren't super long and usually lasted about ten minutes. She picked out something simple to wear for the day, she didn't have a lot of classes for the day. She packed up her messenger bag full of books, notebooks, and school books, put on a pair of black high top converse and headed out of her dorm. She didn't mind the dorm that much, but she wished she was just at home and commuted to campus. Oh well. After her first period calculus, she headed out to the gardens to just sit out there and read until she had orchestra at noon. She found a nice bench to sit on near a bunch of flowers along with being underneath a tree. She pulled out a random book, wanting it to be a surprise. The Fault in Our Stars from John Green. She had heard great things about this author but had not been able to get to any of his books yet; so this could be a fantastic day to start. From her bag, she pulled out her classic iPod and headphones and put the music on shuffle. The first song to pop up was Moonligh Sonata. She put her iPod on hold so it wouldn't change without her say so, set it next to her, and began to read the book. People talked loudly while passing in front of her, but she could never be bothered whilst reading a book. That was just the way the tiny girl was when it came down to it; once she had her mind set on something, it was hard to get her to stop thinking about it. However, people in the garden today were being extremely obnoxious for some odd reason. She jumped when a ball flew by her head though; it took her completely off gaurd and made her take one of her ear buds out and look up to see who almost hit her in the face. Whoever it was, the group must have scattered before they could be caught by her. She rolled her eyes and went back to the music and her reading. The next song to play on her shuffle was a song from the Red Hot Chili Peppers; Dani California. The only reason her parents let her get this song was because it had her name in the title. Other than that, she only had classical and jazz on her iPod. That was the only thing that Dani wished was different about her parents. She wanted more freedom in her life. She was greatful about everything her parents had done for her, don't get her wrong. She had a 160 gig iPod, an android phone, a laptop, and was at a really great school. However, she always had to tell her parents exactly what she was doing, who she was with, and well, everything about her life or else she would be back home and at a super public school, or worse, home schooled. And then she wouldn't be able to attend Julliard and she had no intentions of messing that up. tag: name word count: enough outfit: link notes: hey! |
